It can be confusing as to which relaxing or straightening treatment is the best one for your hair. Bellizima offers a wide range of treatments that are categorized into Amino Acid based and Keratin based.

Amino acid treatment is a more natural treatment with a high acidity and low on the pH scale – they do not contain chemicals that break down bonds, so the effect is less permanent and you can go back and forth between straight and natural styles easily. There is little to no downtime.

Keratin treatment consists of a natural protein found in 88% of your hair. The keratin treatments adhere to the hair and hair cuticle, keeping it hydrated. A chemical is used to open the hair strand and change its structure. The process is a little more labor intensive, and there is more downtime, yet the results are more permanent.

Amino Acid Based Treatments
THE BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT
Description: Known for its popularity among celebrities, the Brazilian Blowout molecules are smaller than traditional keratin molecules, so the formula can penetrate the lower layers of the hair strand for a longer lasting effect.
Texture result: The amount of texture you can remove is customizable and varies for each client.
What it does: The Brazilian removes 100% frizz and up to 80% of the texture (wave/curl pattern). It helps eliminate fly-aways, cuts drying time by 50%, prevents dry, brittle ends and seals and protects the cuticle.
How long it lasts: The Brazilian Blowout can last up to 12 weeks with proper at home care including brand product regime.
Best for what hair type: The system can be used on any type of hair – from short, fine hair, to long coarse hair, and any combination in between.
Downtime: There is no down time with the Brazilian – you see your finished result before you leave the salon.
Treatment time: Total time for the treatment is 80 minutes or less with no line of demarcation.

MAGIC SLEEK
Description: The newer Magic Sleek is a plant based smoothing treatment containing tannin, an element widely to waterproof, soften and add durability to leather, and natural Argan oil for extreme moisture. Magic Sleek can create beautifully straight hair and is rich in Omega 3 and Omega 9 unsaturated fatty acids, offering nutrition to the hair.
Texture result: It is completely customizable – you can leave the hair pin straight, straighten while retaining body or solely use it to remove frizz and redefine curl.
What it does: Removes frizz and adds shine and health to your hair.
How long it lasts: Magic sleek typically lasts around 3-4 months, with proper at-home care and product regime.
Best for what hair type: All types of hair.
Downtime: You will leave the salon seeing your results and you can cold wash your hair on the same day.
Treatment time: On average, Magic Sleek takes about 3 hours.

FUSION 450
Description: This smoothing treatment is independently lab tested to be a formaldehyde free formula that uses penetrating amino acid technology that is bio-compatible with hair fibers to produce stronger hair, while reducing volume. It also has a great scent of blue agave and citrus with a hint of vanilla.
Texture result: This treatment is customizable – you can wear your hair straight or have looser, more controlled curls.
What it does: Extreme volume reduction and smoothing effect.
How long it lasts: This treatment can last up to 12 weeks.
Best for what hair type: Hair that has extreme volume and is often unmanageable.
Downtime: There is no downtime – clients can shampoo, sweat or swim immediately after treatment.
Treatment time: On average, the treatment time is about 2 hours, depending on hair volume and thickness.

Keratin Based Treatments
REJUVENOL
Description: The Rejuvenol Keratin Treatment offers amazing results that tend to last twice as long as other treatments. This treatment coats your hair to help straighten and strengthen the hair follicle. This treatment is available in a multitude of formulations.
Texture result: Smooth, straight and more controllable hair.
What it does: Helps strengthen and condition your hair while adding moisture to make your hair more manageable, healthier and shinier.
How long it lasts: The Rejuvenol treatment can last up to 6 months with the use of the after treatment shampoo and conditioner, adding keratin to your hair in every use.
Best for what hair type: Hair that is naturally frizzy and unmanageable.
Downtime: For the first 3 days you should avoid water completely. For 3 weeks after your treatment, you should not style your hair, wear headbands, clips, hair ties, sunglasses on your head, or anything else in your hair. This treatment causes your hair to be malleable as it is sets into your hair and can cause dents prior to full setting. You should also avoid excessive sweating for up to 2 weeks.
Treatment time: This treatment takes up to 2 to 3 hours at the salon.

KERATHERAPY
Description: The Keratherapy treatment gives an incredible smoothing effect, especially when using heat when styling at home. It renews and transforms all hair types into silky, soft and shiny hair. Straightening of any remaining curl is a breeze with a blow dryer or flat iron and can reduce finishing time by 50%.
Texture result: Maximum smoothing, curl reduction and shine.
What it does: Keratherapy eliminates frizz and dryness while improving manageability.
How long it lasts: Keratherapy can last up to 3-5 months. Results are optimized when using keratherapy shampoo and conditioners.
Best for what hair type: All hair types.
Downtime: It is recommended you wait at least 48 hours before shampooing your hair.
Treatment time: This treatment takes up to 2 to 3 hours at the salon.

JAPANESE STRAIGHTENING
Description: The Japanese straightening treatment uses both chemicals and heat to smooth and condition your hair, putting it in a permanently altered structure. During the treatment, protein bonds in the hair are loosened and then reshaped by hair cells. It uses thermal (heat) energy to create a “blowout” look.
Texture result: Extremely straight and smooth hair with a lot of sleekness and shine.
What it does: Gives a pin-straight appearance to hair with minimal styling and is non-reversible.
How long it lasts: The Japanese straightening treatment can last up to 6 months.
Best for what hair type: This treatment is beneficial for straightening curly or wavy hair.
Downtime: Post treatment you should avoid water for at least 3 days and avoid putting your hair in a ponytail while the treatment sets.
Treatment time: The process of Japanese straightening is labor and time intensive. You are typically at the salon for over 3 hours.
